Tamale Mayor does not own Tamale-Fancy Gadam Manager

Ghana News-Manager for Tamale based hiplife sensation; Fancy Gadam, has called the bluff of the mayor of the area over a ban on musical concerts in the area.

Eight fans of the Tamale-based artiste died following a freak accident. Reports indicate that the accident occurred when a vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle, which was said to have burst its tyre, causing the driver to veer off into a crowd of Fancy Gadam fans.

Chief Executive of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly; Musah Superior blamed Fancy Gadam and declared a ban on musical concerts in the area.

In an interview with GhOne’s Eli Kharis on the Buzz segment of Rythmz live on GhOne TV, Fancy Gadam’s Manager Erasmus Akoto called the bluff of the mayor.

“The mayor’s comment is coming from an individual and not the collective. We are not taking that comment seriously. For now, we are focusing on those we lost”, he said and adds that “ the mayor doesn’t own Tamale”.

Erasmus believes Musa Superior made those comments out of grief and did not take time to listen to how the accident happened.

He also believes the mayor cannot ban musical events because “music is what is holding the region together in unity”.

He expressed gratitude to all supporters for the encouragement they have received since the accident happened.
