Darkness at KNUST poses concern for students

knustSome residents of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are expressing concern about darkness at some parts of the campus.

Not only have the leaders of the nation failed to solve the power problems but it seems management of the various educational institutions have also not been able to provide adequate power in their various institutions.

Some students there tell Focus fm news some places are always dark whether there is power or not, a situation they say is bad for security. They cite particularly, the route from the unity hall, to the chapel near the law faculty as well as the route from the publishing department to the commercial area.

Speaking to focus news, residents of the university community lamented on how dangerous it is using those streets in the evening.

Some accused the executives of the SRC of not living up to task and called on them to provide adequate lights for the safety of the students.
