Court remands 4 suspected kidnappers in Techiman

criminalThe Techiman Circuit Court,  has remanded four young men for allegedly kidnapping 14 year-old girl, Christiana Asamoah, purportedly for rituals.

The four are 31 year-old spiritualist; Salifu Ziblim popularly called Nana Satanga, 34 year-old herbalist, Victor Owusu, 29 year-old spiritualist, Fuseini Sule and 28 year-old taxi driver, Brako Federick.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against them by the prosecution.

According to the prosecuting officer, Detective Inspector Diboro, Victor Owusu invited Salifu Ziblim and Fuseini Sule from Saflugu in the Northern Region to assist him boosts his business which had collapsed.

Fuseini Sule and Ziblim Salifu upon their arrival at Aworowa, a suburb of Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region demanded human blood before they can help Victor Owusu.

Victor Owusu, in connivance with Brako Frederick laid ambush on the road from Aworowa to Krobo in the Techiman Municipality and abducted the 14-year old girl who was moving together with her sisters.

Detective Inspector Diboro tells the court the incident happened on 22nd November, around 7:00pm. The shouts of the victim’s sisters drew residents to the scene leading to the arrest of the culprits. They were subsequently sent to the Techiman Police.

They were arraigned before the Techiman circuit court Monday where the Presiding Judge His Honor Daniel Kwaku Obeng remanded them in custody to reappear on 22nd December for further hearings.
