Aspirants complain about suspension of District level elections

Aspirants for various district level positions remain shocked by an order by the Supreme Court asking the Electoral Commission (EC) to suspend the slated March 3, 2015 district level election.

They are unhappy the suspension of the elections will add onto their costs of running their respective campaigns.

Some of the aspirants who spoke to rawgist.com recounted that “it is a waste of time, energy and finances after months of campaigning and printing posters”

Aspiring Assemblyman for Asokwa-Tunsuom electoral area in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region expressed such a sentiment whiles Eugene Osei Opoku, a chemist at Abenkyiman Hospital tells rawgist.com his working leave expires next month, a situation he fears might hamper his chances of partaking effectively in the elections.

The aspirant who is seeking to serve the people in the area promised to involve people in his administration through town hall meetings.

He however urged the electorates to be exercise patience as the EC is expected to announce a new date soon.
