Ashanti regional minister designate Peter Anarfi Mensah has assured student members and sympathizers of the NDC no one in the region will intimidate them or victimize them for belonging to the NDC.
The former Headmaster was speaking at the handing over ceremony of TEIN-KNUST Saturday.
Many of the students were worried about their lecturers coalescing into a group to declare their support for the largest opposition party in the country.
The Ashanti regional minister designate who is also a member of the University Council however promised them that though he is not sworn into office yet, he would do his best to ensure the students felt safe to pursue their political convictions without it having a negative impact on them academically.
