rawgist.com investigations reveal that cholera cases are shooting up in the Techiman municipality.
Health authorities in the commercial capital of the Brong Ahafo region are disturbed at the alarming rate at which the cases are multiplying.
Five cases which were initially reported were discounted as “imported” cases. The cases then rose to twelve.
By the time of filing this report, the municipality has recorded 23 cases with one death.

The health workers want the Municipal Assembly and other people in authority to check hygiene and sanitation in Tanoso; the small town believed to have become the main source of cholera infection in the municipality.
Until then, officials remain uncomfortable with the current status of the disease within the community which has led to many being rushed to the emergency ward and leaving several in isolation.
