Members of the Yendi Municipal Assembly have expressed fear and insecurity over the sudden change of venue for the second confirmation of the MCE nominee Alhaji Ahmed Abubakari Yussif.
The Assembly Members, who a spoke to Sagani TV on condition of anonymity, expressed fear over the venue change. They maintain that no consultations have been done and the reasons for venue change leaves them in fear, a reason they may boycott the Thursday’s activity.
They say they don’t know what intentions are behind the shifting from the Yendi Community Centre, their usual venue for all Assembly activities , to a private conference Hall.
They suspect some people are hatching plans of indimidating and harrassing members against their free will of confirming the MCE nominee or denying him the opportunity to steer the affairs of the Yendi Municipal assembly.
Some of the assembly members have indicated their unwillingness to go the new venue if no meaningful explanation is not provided for the sudden change of venue.
