Yendi – Young Philanthropist renovates twenty one abandoned public toilets

A young Philanthropist in Yendi, Prince Mahammadu Yakubu a.k.a Zanjina Mankaana has taken up the task of renovating twenty one public toilets in the Yendi township which have been been abandoned because of their deplorable nature after he earlier renovated one at Gagbini some few months ago.

In an interaction with Sagani TV on the rationale for the gesture, he mentioned that it his small way of giving back to society.

He explained the the renovation of the twenty one toilets will cost him about fifty six thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc56,000.00).

He however lamented that the leadership of Yendi do not seem to have interest in his gesture, a move that is very discouraging to people who want to do such things.

He commended the northern regional chairman of the ruling NPP, Chairman Adam Baatima Samba for recognizing his efforts and urged the youth who are blessed to endeavour to give back to society.

The assembly members and the members of the concerned citizens of Yendi and other members of Yendi expressed their gratitude to Prince Zanjina for the kind gesture and called on other people to emulate him.
