Political pundits are asking questions following a revelation of a meeting between incumbent NDC Organizer; Yaw
Boateng Gyan and Chairman of the New Patriotic Party; Paul Afoko.
At a meeting with NDC Ashanti Constituency organizers at Suame in Kumasi last Sunday, Yaw Boateng Gyan confessed to meeting with the NPP chairman Paul Afoko who offered him some insights into occurrences within his party the NDC.
“He whispered in my ears that he has seen all I’m going through….their target is to eliminate me and leave General alone. Once that’s done their mission would have been accomplished”, he told the gathering.
He says the party will return to opposition if his contender for the National Organizer position;Kofi Adams emerges winner after the party’s congress. He denied some allegations being leveled against him and also sort to portray why he is a better candidate than his contender.
Others who were with him at the meeting included former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister Yaw Adusei, Regional NDC Organizer; Alhaji Saani and his deputy.
Many who are privy to discussions at the meeting are asking the relationship with Paul Afoko and the rationale behind Yaw Boateng Gyan’s meeting with him and taking information concerning the NDC from him.
“Does Paul Afoko indeed want the NDC in power for Nana Addo to lose? “, a participant of the meeting questioned rhetorically.
