We are steadily on course-President Akufo-Addo

The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is steadily fulfilling all the promises it made to the people of Ghana.

Speaking at the party’s annual national delegates conference in Cape-Coast last Saturday, President Akufo-Addo intimated his resolve to ensuring every single program, policy and project earmarked by his government is implemented to its fullest.

According to him, the NPP values the mandate given to it by the people of the country and was therefore committed to carrying through all programs it has planned for the citizenry.

In some few weeks’ time, the president mentioned the NPP’s flagship program which is the free senior high school education will be rolled out across the country.

This, he stressed is to ensure every person who has completed Junior High School gets opportunity to continue schooling by enrolling at senior high school level without paying any fee for tuition, accommodation or books.

CORRUPTION:
On corruption, the president has in strong words indicated his desire to let the state investigative agencies look into every case of corruption against members of his government.

According to him, no act or allegation of corruption should be allowed to pass without investigation being launched to ascertain the truth or otherwise in it.

The lack of investigation into corrupt cases, the president stressed festers corruption in the public settings, adding it is necessary that every corrupt act is investigated to get to the bottom of the matter.

However, he has challenged people who make allegations to be bold and come forward with information to any allegations or claims they make so as to allow the state investigative bodies have enough meat to work on.

JOBS:
On the issue of jobs for party members, the president asked party members to be patient for the government to find its feet.

According to him, it is not possible that every single party person will find job in government settings to do.

Rather, he asked that party members support the government to roll out its programs so as to ensure jobs are created for the entire people of the country.

He furthermore asked party members to work to ensure the party lasts in government so as to open up more opportunities for party people who desire to work in government circles.
