KNUST GRADUATIONThe University Of Cape Coast College Of Distance Education says it will not compromise high academic standards for increased enrollment.

Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor John Buah, who was addressing newly admitted students at a matriculation ceremony in Kumasi emphasised that the college will continue to maintain quality while ensuring high level of discipline among students.

Approximately 18,000 applicants were admitted out of 22,000 qualified applicants for various undergraduate programmes for the 2014/2015 academic year.

Almost six hundred others were admitted for postgraduate degrees programmes.

Prof Buah says the college is encouraged by steady increase in the female student population.

He adds piloting of an e-learning platform introduced a few years ago has shown impressive results, and will soon become fully operational.

He revealed that ten thousand ipads have also been procured for distribution to newly- admitted students.

He advised students to demonstrate maturity in seeking redress to their grievances through dialogue with university administration.
