Selorm Adadevor, new MTN CEO calls on Otumfuo

Ghana Business News-Mr Selorm Adadevor, the new MTN Chief Executive Officer today paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the famous Manhyia Palace.

Walking in the shadows of the outgoing CEO, Ebenezer Asante Twum to the ancient palace, Mr Adadevor expressed delight at the opportunity to meet the overlord of Asanteman before commencing official business.

Speaking to the media after the brief ceremony at the precincts of the palace, the new CEO commended the people of Asanteman for being loyal customers of MTN.

The Ashanti Kingdom, he noted remains one of the company’s strategic business locations in the country.

‘’It is a great pleasure having the opportunity to visit the Manhyia Palace and to pay homage to the Asantehene whose leadership has ensured his people patronize our products and services’’, Adadevor calmly stressed.

CAUTION:

Speaking in the company of other notable officers of the company, Mr Adadevor cautioned the public against responding to text messages that they receive on their handsets.

MTN, he noted has a number with digits 0244-300-000 which the company uses to notify its customers of promotions and advertisements.

Any number apart from the aforementioned that is used to call any MTN customer for either a prize or award is fraudulent, the new CEO stated.

He cautioned customers to be wary of other numerous scams that some unscrupulous people are using to dupe unsuspecting people.

‘’ MTN would only send messages or texts through the 0244-300-000 number and it is good to caution the public not to respond to any other text or message from any number apart from this famous code of the company’’, Mr Adadevor cautioned.

RESPONSE:

Speaking on behalf of Otumfuo earlier, Nana Otuo Siriboe, Juabenhene thanked MTN for being generous to the Manhyia Palace and the people of Asanteman.

He commended MTN for improving the speed of the network from 2.5 to 4.5 currently.

The Juabenhene praised the efforts of the outgoing CEO, Asante Twum for overseeing a stupendous job at MTN during his short tenure.

He wished the new CEO well and urged him to work to surpass the successes chalked by the former CEO so that MTN maintains the pedigree of being the choicest network in Ghana.

‘’We are glad that Otumfuo’s advice of having a Ghanaian CEO has paid off so greatly and we wish that Selorm Adadevor follows up from where Asante Twum left off so that MTN will continue to be the choicest brand for all Ghanaians’’, Juabene stated.
