Sampson K. Nyamekye, others honoured on fathers’ day

Ghana News-The General Manager of Hello Fm, a subsidiary company within the Despite Group of Companies, Mr Sampson K Nyamekye has been honored for being a real father.

Others, such as the Ashanti regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah and Pastor Vincent Acquaah, a renowned marriage counselor at Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) also received similar honors for contributing immensely to the socio-economic development of Kumasi

Speaking before conferring the honors on the selected persons, President of Breast Care International (BCI), Dr Beatrice Wiafe Addai noted the exemplary roles these men have played in the development of the Ashanti Region.

According to the cancer surgeon, Mr Nyamekye and his friends through the medium and the offices they work from have championed the cause of the poor, needy and the ostracized in the society.

‘’We at BCI supported by ANAQ Foundation gladly acknowledge you as exemplary fathers and we know your commitment has the potential of encouraging the public to giving of their best to ensure we have a better society’’, Dr Wiafe Addai noted.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper after receiving the award, Mr Nyamekye, show host of ‘Bo ho bio’, a popular current affairs program in Kumasi noted his delight at the award.

According to him, such public recognitions help to encourage people to give of their best in whatever they are doing.

He commended the organizers for finding some of them worthy for acknowledgement and assured the public of doing more to help develop the Ashanti region.

Hello FM, he opined is open for business and committed to giving space to defend the needy and seek support for the under-privileged.

‘’I am honored to receive this award and I believe this will serve as an impetus to making me work even harder’’, Mr Nyamekye stressed.

OTHERS:

Pastor Vincent Acquaah expressed gratitude to the two NGOs for publicly recognizing the work he does.

He promised to continue the advocacy of having a good home by parents living responsible lives.

A representative from the regional minister’s office commended BCI and ANAQ for the honor.

The award, he noted will spur the minister on to advance the course of the needy, especially women in the Region.
