PSG calls for governmental support to improve pharmaceuticals industry

drugsThe Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, has called on the government to adequately resource them to improve their activities as an industry.

According to the society, by so doing, they will be able to monitor and enforce effective measures in the fight against the sale of fake drugs to ensure credibility in the industry.

Speaking to Live fm, as part of activities to mark the celebration of world Pharmacists Day in Accra, the Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, Isaac Adupong also called on the government to put effective laws in place for effective regulation of the sector.

The World Pharmacists Day is an annual event aimed at educating the public on the role of the pharmacist in the provision of healthcare and the varied, useful and impactful roles that the pharmacist plays in healthcare delivery.
