As promised, today we bring you the second in our Hearts of Lions player profile series. Our player in focus is nineteen (19) year-old right back; Sampson Odametten.

Sampson, the 2nd from a family of three hails from Ngleshie Adanse.

He has played with D Leeds United from Dansoman, Cheetah FC, Chorkor based Golden Kicks, Asamankese AC Milan and now Hearts Of Lions. He joined the Kpando based team last season and has already began to make his mark with three goals under his belt.

Speaking to rawgist.com, Sampson says he has had no regrets since joining the Kpando-based team. “The energy within Lions is great and will help my football career” he said.

Sampson said his best moment in the team was when he scored his first goal for the team and his worst moment came when he wasted an advantageous free kick. He recalls that the fans made sure he regretted it.

He says though he is friends with the entire team, he seem to particularly click with Second goalie Sampson Obeng Adade and and fellow right back Prince Ofori also known as DD.

He says he intends to leverage his footballing abilities to become a household name in Ghana and beyond. To this end, he is focused on working hard on his talent.

Sampson Odametten was an important piece of the resilient team that qualified Kpando Hearts of Lion to the premiership.
