NDC’s deceit to win elections exposed and with unity NPP can come back to power in 2028 – Bawumia
Former Vice President and New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer in the 2024 Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has asserted that, the lies and deceit the ruling National Democratic Congress used to convince Ghanaians to snatch power from them in the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections have been exposed within their first four (4) months in government, therefore with unity the NPP can come back to power in the 2028 general elections.
Addressing party executives and sympathizers at Techiman during his ‘Thank You Tour’ to the Bono East Region; Dr Bawumia said even though the President Akuffo-Addo led Government performed very creditably, the NDC promised Ghanaians better living conditions therefore the electorates’ decision to vote for change; but it has become evident that these promises cannot be fulfilled therefore NPP’s return is very possible in the next elections.
He queried that; “Is it not surprising that the NDC’s much touted 24-hour economy which caught the attention of most voters did not even appear in their 2025 Budget and they do not even talk about it anymore’? NDC has obviously deceived Ghanaians with sweet promise therefore the masses are already calling for the NPP’s comeback”.
Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on behalf of the NPP leadership and former Government appointees apologized to the Party members and Ghanaians in general for whatever they did wrong while in office pledging not to repeat them if given another opportunity but called for stronger unity in order to build a more formidable force to recapture power come 2028.
