NDC confident of ability to resolve disputes in party

NDC1The ruling National Democratic Congress has expressed confidence in the ability of the party to resolve disputes currently before it.

The party is currently embroiled in several litigations over the conduct of some constituency elections which have led to injunctions being placed on both the Elections for the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions.

This among others has thrown the National Executive elections slated for the 24th of October to the 26th of October this year into jeopardy.

But the governing party is optimistic of surmounting the challenges and dealing with the disputes currently before it.

Speaking to Live News, the Okaikoi North Constituency Propaganda Secretary for the NDC, Emmanuel Saint Osei disagreed with assertions that the Greater Accra NDC is in crisis.

“The NDC is moving on, I know for sure that there is peace there is calmness in the party. And we are going for the regional elections because whatever happens the injunctions are not permanent so at all cost the injunctions will be lifted” he said.

Saint Osei, who used to be a member of the defunct, FONKAR group, described as “normal” what was happening in the party. “Of course when it gets to elections in this country, things of such nature do occur. So the good thing about it is, if you feel there is a problem in your constituency or somebody is cheating you, you go to court and as you can see a lot of our people have gone to the court to seek redress.”
