Information reaching rawgist.com indicates the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is galvanizing support ahead of the 2016 general elections.
Though, the Electoral Commission (EC) yet to blow the whistle for the “game” to start, youth wings in the party headed by the outgoing Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Joseph Yammin have started underground ” door-to-door” campaigns similar to that which won them power in 2008 and 2012.
The party is expecting to garner over 15 million votes in the Ashanti Region and many believe this is the reason why Hon. Yammin has been re-assigned to the region as deputy regional minister to champion the agenda.
Meanwhile, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Political Science Department has urged the opposition NPP to close ranks and forged ahead to win power from NDC in 2016 elections
