MTN Exec prescribes good leadership, systems and technology as panacea to chaotic administration

Sales and Distribution Executive for MTN Mr. Eric Nsarkoh says various public agencies need strong leadership to ensure the existing systems and processes work as intended.

He spoke to rawgist.com on the sidelines of this year’s Springboard roadshow in Kumasi.

He explains that aside the problem of leadership, Ghana’s administration problems are dual in nature- the systems aspect and the technology aspect.

He says some offices have good systems but not enough technology to see it through while some also don’t have adequate systems in place.

“Ultimately, it boils down to good leadership. If the leadership is good, a bit of technology will make things fall into place. It is a cycle; when your technology is not adequate, it becomes an excuse to let your process become chaotic, and when your processes are chaotic, it becomes more difficult to bring in technology and that cycle has to be broken. It is only broken by leadership”.

He advices institutions to first organize themselves in order for technology to be relevant to them.
