I will fight illiteracy in my constituency-MP

hon.mohammedsalisubambaMP for Ejura Sekyedumase, Hon. Sualisu Bamba has offered financial assistance to scads of students in the constituency.

The legislator as part of advance measures to fight the high illiteracy rate in the area gave undisclosed amounts of money to students at various stages of education.

The students were drawn from different schools including those sitting this year Nov/Dec WASSCE who he had organized a remedial classes for.

According to the MP, the gesture was to bring down the literacy rate in the area. He said most often he receives countless phone calls from students around the area for financial help. He said sometimes he feels sad that some brilliant students had to stay home due to financial constraints.

“Therefore this is to help reduce the burden on parents”, he believes.

He continued, “as at now I have more than 70 SHS students who are under my help and I need more to add because it is my target to take off illiteracy in my constituency and I mean it”.

Hon. Bamba added, “I know the youth will be leading the country some time to come hence the need to get them educated so if the chance comes they can also do well because now Education is a good thing to get”.
