The Amenfi West Constituency Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC), Mr.Roxy Armoh has cleared the air on the hullabaloos of his intention to leave his post for a parliamentary seat.
He tells Royal FM morning show host; Richmond Antwi Boasiako, he has no intention of contesting such a position.
The NDC has opened nominations for its parliamentary primaries and scores of personalities within the party have expressed their interest to contest.
“There have been several calls from members of the constituency on me to contest for the position but I have no interest in vacating my seat to struggle for power’’.
Chairman Roxy noted that ‘‘whenever the incumbent MP declares that he is no more contesting, “I am ever ready to support anyone who has the MP ambition as the chairman of the party’’
He noted that although he is popular in the constituency and will definitely win if he picks up a form to contest in the race as a parliamentary aspirant, he is not vacating his position as the constituency chairman since ‘‘ God’s time is the best’’.
