Forget about Prophecies and know that God is with you in 2022-Pastor Ransford Obeng

Pastor Ransford Obeng addressing journalists on the side lines of the 31st December watch night service

Leader of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC); Pastor Ransford Obeng has asked Christians to stop pursuing prophecies and be assured that God is with them.

He was speaking during a meeting with journalists during the 31st December watch night service held by the church to usher members into the year 2022.

Pastor Ransford insisted that “if you know that God is with you, you don’t need any prophet or spiritualist to tell you any other thing”. He lamented that many of such prophets although may be of God, are also allowing themselves to be used by the devil as they instill fear into God’s people. He explained that God does not operate based on fear but rather, faith and hence anyone who operates based on fear is of the devil.

He said the theme for the new year is “God is with you” and added that God being with you does not preclude difficulties but rather the assurance that God will see you through such difficulties should they arise.

“When there are issues, forget about other people, forget about Prophecies and Prophets and lift your eyes to God and talk to him. He hears you. No one is closer to God than you are. It is a lie” he stressed.

He encouraged Christians to take their strength from the word of God as there is no Prophetic word greater than the Bible.

Pastor Ransford obeng announced that Pastor Mensah Otabil will be vising CCC on 13th and 14th January, 2022 to deliver messages aimed at helping people start the year right and encouraged all and sundry to be there.

Praises and worship ongoing during the second watch night service on 31st December, 2021

The Calvary Charismatic Center held two watch night services on 31st December due to the need to cut down numbers at the church premises and to enable the church implement all the COVID-19 protocols. The first service began at 7pm and ended at 9pm while the second service took off at 10pm and ended at midnight. The church was very orderly with adequate spacing between seats and all members in nose masks.

Many of the people who attended the services said the service prepared them adequately to face the new year and also afforded them the opportunity to thank God for his mercies in the previous year.
