Dear Mr President,

I join hands with the millions of people who are scandalized by the Airbus ruling by a court in the United Kingdom.

To many Ghanaians and the world at large your determination to fight corruption is unprecedented in the history of modern African politics. I am proud to associate myself with this great achievement not only as a Ghanaian but also as an African.

I have monitored your political career both in historical writings and from personal observation. Over 40 years of frontline political struggle for Ghanaians and the black race is no small feat. I am powerfully touched by your commitment to serve humanity and God .

I am grateful to your unrelenting spirit to fight corruption in the country and your firm stance to investigate the Airbus scandal by transferring the matter to The Office of the Special Prosecutor. Unfortunately many consider this move to be “mere lip – service” in the fight against corruption .

Sir, Ghana’s image has been sullied indisputably. The story as published by the Guardian newspaper, has tainted the good image the country has amongst its peers.

Mr. President the test to fight corruption in the country should not be an issue for political expediency but of principles to the millions of Ghanaians who don’t have access to what a decent life should look like but still keep their faith in you because they know you will definitely win the fight against corruption and deliver them justice.

Airbus should be treated as a terrorist attack on our finances as a developing country , We must deal with Airbus desperately like we are fighting coronavirus in china and around the world and lastly Airbus must be treated like a genocide on our economy.

The story, when critically scrutinized, has the former president as the epicenter and it would only be fair to the good people of Ghana to ascertain how the country was governed by the former leader and his people.

It is my hope and the hope of many well meaning Ghanaians that this matter is dealt with decisively for us to know the scale of corruption that persisted under Mahama and how he and his close associates sent the country downhill with this dirty deal.

Sir, this is a golden opportunity for Ghanaians to know how Mahama, his family and friends milked Ghana dry with such crooked dealings.
A dark clouds of horizon covers our image in the international community, is now the time to practice what we preach in the fight against corruption to the international community.

Like any citizenry I would like to visit the logical arguments of the scandal but I will borrow the words of Martin Luther king JR

” There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politics , nor popular, but he must take because conscience tell him it is right”

Marshaling moral convictions and a strong spirit in fighting corruption especially in an election year will politically be termed as wrong and witch hunting but is time to do what is right to make corruption unattractive in the history of our country.

Your’s faithfully
