DJ Nu Kidd attributes difference in performance between African Djs and Foreign Djs to crowd energy

New York-based Nigerian disc jockey, Dj Nu Kidd whose real name is Akinleye Soyinka believes that there is often a difference in the stage performance of Disk Jockeys in Africa and that of those in the foreign countries especially in the United state.

According to DJ Nu Kidd, asides from the fact that International DJs put in a lot of energy during sets and performances, the reason for that could also be because of the crowd energy.

The New York-based DJ who doubles as a creative designer noted in an interview with rawgist.com that ”that genuinely creates the vibe in which the DJ then feeds off of. You know. I don’t think we’ve gotten to that level of rave yet.”

Dj Nu Kidd was optimistic about the future of African Djs despite the difference in crowd energy adding that African Djs are pretty good

So that might be the only thing.  When we’re deeper in that rave culture I think African DJs would equally be as huge as international ones. Other than that when we’re pretty dope as well,” he said
