Delegates must vote for candidates who can grow party – Mahama

MAHAMAPresident John Mahama has extended well wishes to candidates in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) national delegates congress slated for December 20. T he leader of the ruling party in a statement Wednesday urged all contestants to continue to engage in a campaign of ideas and strategies.

“Your prime objective should be how to make the NDC, which is the only party that truly cares for the people of Ghana and continues to demonstrate that through its policies and actions, stronger and more formidable”, he told the candidates.

The NDC will climax its election of executives for a new term on December 20, 2014 in Kumasi.

The President’s statement also urged delegates to the December 20 congress to ignore any claims by any of the candidates that “he/she is my choice or my preferred person, because there is none.”

“Vote for whoever you believe has the capacity and ability to help grow our great party and work with the millions of supporters across the country. As President and Leader, it is who you, the delegates, decide on that I will work with”, the statement ended.
