Ama Pomaa Boateng Launches Smart Classrooms Initiative At Juaben Constituency.

The Member of Parliament for Juaben Constituency, Hon Ama Pomaa Boateng last week Wednesday launched the Smart Classrooms initiative at the Juaben Anglican School.

This is an initiative where selected classrooms have been fixed with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools for learning and instruction.

Currently, the Smart classrooms initiative has been established in eight (8) schools in the Juaben Constituency by the Member of Parliament.

The schools are Kubease MA Primary, Benevolent Islamic Primary, Boamadumase Methodist Primary, Juaben Anglican Primary and Abetenim MA Primary schools.

The rest are Domakwai MA Primary, Atia MA Junior High School and Ofoase Methodist Primary Schools.

Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Hon Pomaa commended the Education Directorate and the various school authorities for embracing the initiative and ensuring that they work to make it functional.

As a way of ensuring the sustainability and maintenance of the facilities for the initiative, the MP mentioned the institution of a Fund to that effect.

“I have instituted an IT fund, a crucial step in ensuring the sustainable management of these centers” the MP disclosed

She added that, “as our nation embraces the digital agenda, the impact of Smart Classrooms transcends the walls of our schools”.

The Smart Classrooms initiative, the MP noted signifies the collective commitment to fostering prosperity and advancement through education.

This, she stated would be the bedrock of progress and innovation in Ghana.

“Reflecting on our journey, last year saw the inception of the Pomaa Tech Club, aimed at nurturing ICT education among our school children. I am proud to announce that the club has grown to accommodate approximately 120 beneficiaries, all of whom have undergone training in various fields including website development, robotics, and cybersecurity”, Hon Pomaa announced.

She adde that, “as I look ahead, I am filled with hope and anticipation, envisioning a future where the next generation of tech giants emerges from Juaben Constituency. Together, let’s continue to empower our youth and pave the way for a brighter, more digitally inclusive tomorrow”.
