Bugri Naabu is a ‘warmonger’ – NDC

The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has fired salvos at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Northern Regional Chairman, Bugri Naabu describing him as a ‘warmonger’.

The party condemned him for constantly inciting his kinsmen (Kokombas) against President John Mahama.

The outspoken NPP regional Chairman on a recent political platform in Damongo, described as cosmetic, President Mahama’s appointment of Kenneth Ojanji (a Konkomba) as a Deputy Chief of Staff.

“Raising tribal sentiments should obviously be seen to be somebody who is a warmonger: issues that border on religion and tribe are something that is very sensitive.”

He implored Chairman Bugri Naabu to stop his tribal comments and concentrate on issue-based campaigns.

“He should be able to criticize the government on the number of projects that he thinks we have not sent to the Konkomba area but not in terms of tribal appointments and so he should spare us this warmongry.”

The NDC regional chief scribe further debunked Chairman Bugri Naabu’s widespread ‘misconception’ that the erstwhile NPP administration had more government appointees than the Mahama led NDC administration.

“I have the belief and conviction that the good people of the Konkomba area have seen the good works this government has done for them and come November 7 they are going to give us their maximum support to win the election one touch,” he anticipated.
