Ghana Politics News-The Ashanti Regional Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Adomako has assured polling station and constituency executives of resources to carry out grass-root work very soon.
This, he noted is to make the executives and members active in the discharge of their duties as well as carry out outdoor campaigns in their respective communities.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper after touring three constituencies namely, Mampong, Nsuta and Ejura last weekend, Mr Adomako said the idea to retool and resource the party branches is crucial.
He mentioned that the NPP as a serious political party will do all it takes to undertake grass-root retooling before election 2020.
‘’We are very aware of what is expected of us if we are to get our grass-root support base formidable and very soon you will see how active our branches will be when resources begin to trickle down to them’’, Mr Adomako stressed.
Addressing the party’s student-wing (TESCON) at the Mampong College of Education, Mr Adomako called on the students to be resolute in defending the party’s policies.
These policies, he stressed, have the potential of helping in job creation and the opening up of the Ghanaian market for economic growth.
The President, Mr Adomako reiterated is concerned about the rising rate of unemployment in the country, adding the government is committed to creating jobs for the youth and others who are yet to be gainfully employed.
‘’All the training modules under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) as well as the recently introduced Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) are measures to migrate the youth onto a more permanent job in the future’’, Mr Adomako noted to deafening cheers from the students.
Mr Adomako assured the student-wing of the party’s resolve to provide incentives for them for campus campaigns and outreach work.
He also assured them of resources and training regime to make them respond to the duties of the party at all times.
These, he noted will make them sharp to help the party actively at campus and on the field during election period.
‘’We in the regional executive recognizes the work that you do on campus despite you being here purposely to study and we also know your invaluable sacrifices and contributions during election periods and as such we will resource you to make you more efficient’’, Mr Adomako noted with passion.
