MCE for Suame

The Suame Municipal Assembly has no proper data of citizens, property and businesses within the area to facilitate revenue mobilization.

This was revealed by Municipal Chief Executive for Suame; Dr. Osei Bobie Boahen when the Assembly met to approve her 2019 budget.

Municipal Chief Executive for Suame explained that the municipality is now self-reliant and will not depend on the sub metro for revenue mobilization and will do whatever it can to improve revenue mobilization.

He announced that the Suame Municipal Assembly will pursue revenue collection more seriously next year as a means of attaining their development goals.

One of the measures being put in place to ensure this is to liaise with garages and artisanal groups to facilitate revenue mobilization from members.

The Assembly also agreed on a variety of development projects which include the building of bungalows for some officials, renovation of public toilets in the municipality, construction of two polyclinics, repair of two footbridges and boreholes and the extension of electricity to off-grid locations within the municipality using the common fund and Internally Generated Funds.

Issues of waste management were also very high on the Municipal Assembly’s agenda.
