Stop ridiculing Ghana abroad-Lady Patriot cautions UK NPP

NPPA former firebrand and leading member of the New Patriotic Party,(NPP) at the Kwadaso constituency, Esther Nana Agyemang has cautioned some serial callers of the party who are based in the United Kingdom to desist from further ridiculing the image of the country by their continued protests against President Mahama.

According to her, the actions of the group apart from being ‘unruly and shameful’ has the potential of wiping away the respect countries of the West have for Ghana and its leaders.

In an interview with the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper in Kumasi over the weekend, Madam Agyemang expressed her abhorrence against the continued attitude by one Nana Ansah Obofuor, a known serial caller and member of the UK branch of the opposition NPP.

VIEWS:
Speaking with extreme passion following the recent street protest organized by the NPP UK branch against the president as he visited the UK for an anti-corruption conference by World Leaders, the leading member of the Kwadaso NPP called for respect for the office of the president.

”No matter our political differences as a people we owe it as a responsibility to respect our President wherever he goes”, she vehemently cautioned.
The President, she reinforced need to be respected and accorded the dignity his office demands no matter which party he belongs to.
” We as a people should be very careful how we treat President Mahama anytime he goes outside the shores of the country so that we do not wipe away our dignity as a people”, Madam Esther Agyemang stressed with passion.

ACCUSATION:
She noted the NPP serial caller together with some members of the UK branch of the NPP for some time now have being organizing such street protests anytime the president, John Maham visited Great Britain.

These protests, the lady firebrand observed has the potential to discredit the country since the President who is the primary target is the representative of the people wherever he goes.

She advised the group desists from this attitude since the continued use of this approach to display their abhorrence to the governance style of President Mahama would eventually erode all the respect and recognition the people of U.K nad the West has for the country.

ADVISE:
Rather, she challenged the UK branch of the NPP to put their house in order and work to ensure they bring the NPP to power.

”You cannot deploy these protests that is targeted to shaming your own President as a way of winning power since the real work of any serious political party  in securing power is at the grass-root and hinterlands”, Madam Agyemang slammed.

According to her, the UK branch members could contribute resources and cash to the NPP especially to its members at the hinterlands to work to win more people to the party’s fold since it appeared the party’s popularity is waning in rural communities of the country.
