A home that suffered the destruction during the rains

Residents of Tafi Atome New town in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region have been left without places to lay their heads.

Their predicaments follow heavy rainfall on Wednesday that destroyed their homes.

The affected residents in an interaction with Anthony Isaac Princewil Egbeako; a freelance journalist expressed their distress. They explained that the destruction of their homes is not the only loss as their farms have also been destroyed; a situation that is likely to affect their food supply.

The residents are appealing to the government, NGOs, Philanthropists and other agencies to come to their rescue with roofing sheets and other building materials to help them rehabilitate their ruined houses.
