Police amanehono part 1 and 2

policeI remember that night. I was preparing for an examination so I had time stay up a bit. Then my brother and I heard a loud noise outside with the dog barking. We got out and lo and behold a man had fallen inside our water tank! He had scaled the walls to steal, unfortunately he landed directly on the iron roof covering the water tank which gave way with his weight.

Luckily there was not too much water in it, so he was alive. The tank was deep, no way he was gonna come out without a ladder, unless he turned into a spider like Obinim.

I dialed the police number, after about 5 or 6 times of unanswered calls one sleepy lady picked up. She was in Ho, the breach had occurred in Accra. She then gave me the number of someone called Abu in Madina to call. I had to wait for quite sometime for the number to be found tho. I called about 6 or 7 times, Abu finally picked up. He interrogated me very well for several minutes and hanged up. Some 10 minutes later Abu called me back to ask me for my number! All this while the guy was in the tank with his hacksaw, jerk and others scattered about. After sometime another number called to enquire about my location, the very answers I had already given to Abu…it was unnerving!

After close to an hour and a half of back and forth, the police finally arrived with loud serene! They managed to extract a very wounded young man from the tank with the barrel of a gun. He had sustained cuts and had bled so much into the water in the tank. The water in the tank was like a bloody jacuzzi.

Now I had to to enter the bucket of the police van, along with the bleeding thief, and be driven to the police station. It was compulsory I go with them, at a point I began to wonder whether I was the criminal….if you thought this is drama, watch out for part 2.
