Needs Of Our Alma Mater Must Be Treated As Priority— Tweneboah Kodua 2001 Global President Admonishes.

The Global President of 2001 Year Group of Tweneboah Koduah Senior High School at Kumawu in the Sekyere Kumawu district of Ashanti, Mrs Mavis Koduah has implored old students to prioritize the developmental needs of their alma mater in all their gatherings.
According to her, the central government alone cannot shoulder the entire responsibility timely considering the enormous pressure on the national cake.
‘If we are going to rely on government alone for every single need of our beloved school, then I am afraid a lot of things will go wrong’ she stated
The visibly worried President of Akyerema 2001 Year Group who was speaking at the group’s End of Year party at the plush SG Mall in Kumasi, reminded the old students of the critical role the school has played in their lives which has propelled them to attain their current status in society.

She was quick to add that, though, it was proper for old students to demonstrate concern for their schools where they received training to become who they are today, such concerns and inputs should be made to pass through the appropriate channels to foster good rapport between the administration and the alumni.
Mrs Mavis Koduah, a teacher by profession, hinted that, her immediate goal is to procure double metal beds for the school to ease the pressure on dormitory beds occasioned by the recent high intake by the school.
She therefore made a passionate appeal to the group to as a matter of urgency support her leadership accomplish this goal by contributing their widow’s mite to support the initiative.
‘In the interim, the target is to raise fifty thousand cedis (GHc 50,000). With this amount, I think we can start from somewhere whilst we explore other avenues to generate funds for our future programs and projects’ she added.
Background:
The End of Year party which was sponsored by Santa Maria Appiah, a 2001 Agric Class student now domiciled in Atlanta Georgia in the United States of America brought together bankers, nurses, doctors, teachers, pastors, businessmen and women among others.
The party also presented the opportunity for the TKSHS 2001 Year Group to discuss the policies and governance structure of the group as well as ways to mobilize funds to support ongoing developments in the school.
Apart from the familiarization, networking and merry making, the Head of Internal Controls at the Audit Department of Kumawuman Rural Bank and Kumasi Asafo Branch Manager, Julius Joseph Baffour Ntiamoah provided education on prudent financial management in the midst of global economic challenges.
He also spoke about the investment climate and opportunities available in the country and admonished his colleagues to take advantage of them in order to secure their future.
Admonition:
Mrs Lovelace Adu‐Gyamfi, a Senior Midwife at the Manhyia Government Hospital and one time Miss TKSS 1st Runner Up, on her part advised the women to maintain healthy eating.
She also asked colleagues to exercise regularly especially during pregnancy whilst visiting the hospital for their antenatal care.
