NaBCo will make use of Ghana’s graduates-Ahomka Lindsay

Ghana News-Mr Robert Ahomka-Lindsay, a Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry says government is determined to make use of Ghana’s human resource potentials.

This, he passionately noted informed the decision by the NPP administration to roll out the Nation Builders Corps program (NABCo).

The program, he maintained is deliberately designed for purpose and targeted at graduates in the country who are yet to get employment.

Addressing a stakeholders meeting in Kumasi on Monday, Mr Lindsay said the Enterprise Ghana module on the seven-pronged program is aimed at giving both training and jobs for graduates who choose to work with enterprise Ghana.

Giving more details, the Deputy Minister noted NABCo is ready to conduct interviews for graduates who have so far applied with the intention of getting recruited on one of the modules.

The interviews, he noted are slated for the 6th to the 11th of July where graduates are expected to converge at places they expressed interest at working when they are recruited.

Persons who excel at the interviews across the country, Mr Lindsay revealed will be trained by government for six weeks while the Enterprises they choose to work also gets opportunity to train same for another 6weeks.

This process, he noted is to properly set the graduates up for the work and task expected of them to undertake at the places they intend working permanently even after the three years are expired on the NABCO module.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Mr Kwabena Darko, owner of Darko Farms Limited welcomed the idea of NABCo.

According to him, it was important that government adequately prepares its human resource potentials to enable private hands employ same since it is evident that no administration can employ these large numbers.

Mr Boris Baidoo, Owner of Boris B Farms commended the government for the Enterprise Ghana module.

The module, he noted will help graduates to pursue their visions of working at both State and private owned business enterprises.
