Minister Affirms Government’s Commitment to Gender-Related Issues
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has affirmed the government’s commitment to gender-related issues.
This is through the building of strong partnerships that champion the rights, protection and overall well-being of all individuals, particularly the vulnerable.
Dr Naa Momo Lartey said this when the Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency, Huseyin Gungor paid a courtesy call on her at the Ministry.
She stated,“The government is committed to bettering the lives of the people of Ghana by working tirelessly with all stakeholders to ensure equal rights, enhance social protection, and reduce vulnerability to its barest minimum.”
On his part, His Excellency, Huseyin Gungor emphasized the collaborative efforts to address gender-related issues and expand social safety nets for the poor and vulnerable.
He expressed Turkey’s interest in supporting initiatives that protect and empower women, girls and other marginalized groups.
The Ambassador’s visit was to extend his congratulations to the Minister on her appointment and to explore waysto strengthen bilateral ties between both countries, particularly through enhanced collaboration with the Ministry.
The engagement also aimed to promote goodwill and deepen mutual cooperation on shared development goals.
