KATH Purchases 3 Brand New Dialysis Machines With IGF…Installation Commences On Friday.

(KATH) on Tuesday morning took delivery of three brand new dialysis machines it purchased from Nivaansh MediQas Ghana Limited.

At a brief ceremony at the precincts of the hospital, Mr Vishal Kaul, Managing Director of Nivaansh MediQas Gh Limited presented the three machines and some medical consumables to the head of the Dialysis Unit, Mr Kwadwo Tuffour Ampem Gyekye as well as Ing Michael Agyemang Duah (Casty) from the Biomedical Department-KATH.

Mr Vishal disclosed that the machines come with a 2 year warranty and would be closely monitored by a team from his outfit.

“This equipment comes with a two year warranty and would also be serviced and monitored by my outfit to last long. As a goodwill measure to the CEO and KATH, my team will be doing in house training for the specialists and technicians so that they can handle the equipment very well”, the supplier noted.

Installation:
The Komfo Anokye Team together with the team from the supplier would jointly install the three machines over the weekend.

On the following Monday, the CEO and Management members as well as the supplier would inspect the equipment and its operations.

Vital Information:
The supplier revealed that the Dialysis brand purchased by KATH was such that it is able to take compatible consumables as well as a wide range of same.

He noted that the equipment is designed in such a way that it would last between 5 and 10 years.

KATH Officials:
Head of the Dialysis Unit, Mr Tuffour said the arrival of the machines was a delight to the hospital and especially to his outfit.

“I am a happy man today because my unit has been making do with the existing two machines despite the large numbers we have had to attend to”, Mr Tuffour with teary eyes stated.

Mr Agyemang Duah from the Biomedical Department said he had been frustrated by the lack of adequate machines to deal with persons needing care at KATH.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank the CEO and management for purchasing these three brand new dialysis machines for us to attend to pressing and urgent cases that come to KATH and to our department”, Mr Duah posited.

Chief Executive Officer:
Later at his office, the CEO of KATH, Professor Otchere Addai-Mensah thanked the supplier for delivering the dialysis machines on time.

The delivery of the equipment purchased with internally generated funds from KATH funds, the CEO noted was welcome news, adding that it would kick start the process of adding on to the existing two machines KATH has.

“KATH is grateful to you for delivering these machines it purchased and for you to commit to train and equip our in-house staff with the necessary skill to handle the equipment shows your concern and care for human lives and we believe we can work together to retool the Dialysis Unit to appropriate levels”, the CEO stated.
