I’ll not allow anyone to sink our boat-President Akufo-Addo

Ghana News-The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated his readiness to discipline any erring government official whose actions may make the NPP look bad in the eyes of the public.

This, he noted is to ensure that the party prosecutes its agenda successfully while in government.

Addressing scores of party faithful and delegates at the 26th national delegate conference last Saturday in Koforidua, President Akufo-Addo intimated his determination to sanction any erring government official to safeguard the NPP party.

He said the party needed to forge forward with a sense of unity, noting no room will be allowed for anyone to distract it from achieving its target as party in government.

‘’As I stated earlier I want to emphasize with the avoidance of doubt that I remain the captain of this boat and will not allow anyone to capsize it while we sail ashore’’, President Akufo-Addo stated.

PROSPECTS:

Speaking of projects the government intends to embark on, the President announced the recruitment of 500 thousand people to carry out programs under the planting for food and jobs, an initiative by the Agric ministry.

This, the President noted will increase the cultivation of more food produce since more hands will be employed to achieve this.

The one district one factory, he noted will be on stream very soon, adding the one village one dam initiative has already taken off in the Northern regions.

The Middle and Savannah belt authorities, the President mentioned will begin operation very soon to ensure the seed monies allocated for them are released for the intended work.

‘’The one district one factory policy initiative is on course and with the one village one dam already taken place in the northern regions prospects of a transformed economy is in sight’’, the  President posited.

DISCIPLINE:

The President announced the lifting of the suspension on the Deputy Sports Minister, Pius Hadzide.

This, he explained comes from a Police report submitted to his office exonerating the recently embattled sports icon.

The President pledged his commitment to carrying out investigations into alleged foul or misbehavior of government officials anytime there are issues against their conduct in office.

This, he noted is the best way to govern and to get persons in government to put up behaviors befitting the offices they hold.

‘’I am happy to inform conference that the Police report I received yesterday exonerates the suspended  Deputy Sports Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide and I will on Monday reinstate him’’, the President announced to deafening cheers.
