IGP, Asokwa MCE commend Ahinsan-Estate Assemblyman for Police post

Asokwa Police Commander, Alex Acquah joins Asokwa MCE, Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah and Assembly man, Nana Yaw Wiredu to cut the tape to commission the police post for the Ahinsan Estate community

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), COP James Oppong-Boanuh has commended the Assembly man for Ahinsan-estate electoral, Nana Yaw Wiredu for putting up a police post for the gated community.

According to the IGP,  the Police administration cannot by itself put up all the necessary security structures to provide security for the populace but would rely on private citizens as well as the public to augment its efforts.

The IGP whose speech was read on his behalf by Chief Inspector Alex Acquah of the Asokwa Police Command said security was a shared responsibility.

He therefore commended the Assembly man for showing leadership by providing the post so that men from the Comamnd could man and provide better policing services to residents in the Ahinsan, Estate and Gyinyase communities.

”The IGP would want to commend the Assembly man for this area for his continued support to his residents in the area of security because before this post he had also established a neighbourhood watchdog committee to provide security for the people”, the IGP representative stated.

MCE:
On his part, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah said the Ahinsan Estate assembly man had showed exemplary leadership.

To put up a police post apart from other security services he had established means Nana Yaw Wiredu has the security and safety of residents of this community at heart, the MCE stressed.

The Asokwa Municipal Assembly, the MCE noted are ever ready to support any of such initiatives that are aimed at making the lives of the people bearable.

Chief Akwannuasa also urged opinion leaders and residents to take good care of the officers who would be assigned to man the facility so as to motivate them to do well.

”I commend Nana Yaw Wiredu for this awesome vision to make this community a crime free area and urge that residents desist from throwing refuse in water bodies so that the recurring floods in Asokwa can be reduced”, Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah stated.

ASSEMBLY MAN:
Welcoming the invited guests as well as stakeholders in Ahinsan Estate during the official commissioning ceremony of the Post, Nana Yaw Wiredu thanked residents of the area for supporting him every step of the way.

He stated that security was something he treasured and would do everything to ensure the people of Ahinsan Estate are protected and safe at all times.

Hon Nana Yaw Wiredu asked for support to maintain the facility as well as assistance to encourage Police persons who would be posted there to do their best.

He noted that a fourth term for him would mean that more development projects would be coming to Ahinsan Estate.

” I stand here because members of this community decided to buy into my vision and to also support me to bring development to this electoral area and I ask that they give me a fourth term in office so that I can complete all projects I have embarked on as well as others I have lobbied for the community”, Nana Yaw Wiredu appealed.

Present at the commissioning ceremony were the Commander of the 4th Infantry battalion as well as Chiefs, former assembly members, religious leaders and other stakeholders of the area as well as the Municipality.
