Ignore Mahama, he knows nothing About Agyapa deal- Dr. Kojo Appiah Kubi

The member of parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma constituency in the Ashanti region; Dr. Kojo Appiah Kubi, says the Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress Congress (NDC); Mr. John Dramani Mahama is ignorant about the whole Agyapa  Royalties Deal.

He has therefore challenged the former president to understand the concept of the Agyapa royalties deal before commenting on it publicly.

The former president says the next NDC  government  will implement recommendations of the Special Prosecutor on the controversial Agyapa Royalties deal, when elected on December 7, 2020 by the people of Ghana.

Dr. Appiah Kubi  who was speaking on Oyerepa 100.7fm Breakfast show on Monday morning rubbished the former President’s statement that he will prosecute the actors behind the Agyapa deal, should the NDC win the 2020 presidential elections.

“There is nowhere in the special prosecutor (Martin Amidu’s) reports that cited any of his brothers or relatives as the culprit as is being speculated by the National Democratic Congress NDC Presidential candidate and the NDC folks” , he said.

He called on Ghanaians to disregard the numerous fabrications and allegations the NDC is trying to hang on the Presidency and the NPP. He insists the setting up of the Office of the Special Prosecutor is evidence of the government’s strong will to fight corruption.

“It would interest you to know that, the only corrupt official captured in Martin Amidu’s report was the Government Official 1 and Martin Amidu himself did indicate, he cannot prosecute him, until after the elections, so why would Amidu Shield  names of the president’s brother or relatives, if that is the case as is being propagated by the NDC? ”

The legislator explained that the reports frowned on possible corruption practices after risk assessments by the special prosecutor, hence the directive by the President to Parliament to look into the whole agreement again.
