BACKGROUND:
Having deputized as a producer at Boss fm, a Kumasi based radio station in the early part of 2010, Nana Asiedu rose from that role to become the substantive morning show host from 2011-2014.

However, in 2015 his determination to stem the illegal mining that was being carried out by some unscrupulous persons in the hinterlands of the Ashanti Region incurred the wrath of some top Police officials who felt he was linking them to the illegal activity.

These officials including a former Police Commander, who the broadcaster frequently accused of aiding the activities of the dreaded Chinese illegal Miner, Aisha Huang ensured his employers terminated the contract they had with him.

So until Silver fm put pen to paper and signed him in the latter part of 2016, Oheneba Asiedu was a silent voice against illegal mining in the Kumasi metropolis.
