Former Ashanti regional NDC Secretary has promised members of the NDC security as they strive to ensure a free and fair election in the Ashanti region.
Joseph Yammin was responding to party faithful in Afigya Sekyere East (Agona) who reported threats from members of the opposition New Patriotic Party. They say the NPP members have cautioned them to remain indoors on election day to avoid harm to them and their families.
Joseph Yammin however wants them to dismiss the threats since the party has put in place adequate measures to ensure no one loses a hair.
He was speaking to members and sympathisers of the NDC when he visited some villages within the region.
“We have a role to play in this upcoming election. Your role is to come out and vote for President John Mahama. Our role is also to protect you and your families as well as your votes. I can stand here and tell you on authority that nobody! I repeat, nobody!! can even dare to stop you from coming out to vote. We will indeed protect you and protect the ballot box”.
