Be fair to those you accuse-CVM leader jabs Kojo Yankson

The Founder and Leader of the Concerned Voters Movement (CVM), Razak Kojo Opoku has chided the host of Joy Fm’s super morning show, Kojo Yankson for displaying bias.

According to Mr Opoku, the radio presenter in discussing issues pertaining to activities at the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) tried impugning corruption on the part of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Kofi Osei Ameyaw when he had not listened to the side of the accused.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper on phone, the CVM leader described the attitude of Kojo Yankson as a’classical display of immaturity’.

Mr Opoku noted that Kojo Yankson used a one-sided argument backed with what he termed as a ‘dubious’ document to impugn the image of the NLA and its CEO.

He wondered why the show host failed to give equal opportunity to the NLA CEO to respond to all allegations made against his person by one Kojo Graham, CEO of a partner company to the NLA.

REBUTTALS:
Mr Opoku stated that there is no way that a person would be called corrupt when that particular person has been able to pay a loan he contracted from his partner.

According to the CVM leader, there was no sense in the point that once the CEO had contracted a loan from Kojo Graham to perform functions at the NLA there was corruption.

‘’How can anyone claim someone is corrupt when evidence on the ground points to something different and contrary’’, Mr Opoku posited.

He described as laughable the desperate attempt by the Joy Fm host to seek to accuse the NLA CEO of wrongful approach to carrying out his mandate.

RESULTS:
Enumerating some achievements he described as monumental on the part of the CEO, Mr Opoku said the NLA now pays 25% commission to all lotto marketers in the country.

The removal of taxes that were placed on lotto marketers regarding their profits, the CVM leader mentioned was another change the CEO had brought into the industry.

These new initiatives and interventions, Mr Opoku noted had brought new life into the lotto business across the country.

Lotto marketers, he disclosed are maximizing returns to the NLA due to the proactive measures of the Kofi Ameyaw led administration.

‘’If you are ignorant of the performance of the NLA CEO just look at the comprehensive reforms he has introduced to make the NLA attractive to all in the country’’, Mr Opoku jabbed.
