Emissions test for vehicle users next year, drivers disagree

Motor vehicle users have disagreed with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) over a plan to introduce an emissions test as part of road worthy certification starting next year.

The EPA boss for the Bono East region; Mr. Anthony Duah revealed the plan to Globe TV in an interview.

He revealed that the move has become important because vehicular emissions are becoming an important environmental concern in Ghana.

Commercial Drivers however say the plan is inimical to their welfare and will make life difficult for them. They say they will run at serious loses if the move comes into force.
