Dzifa Ativor is shameless-Dr. Marfo

Dzifa-AttivorA senior lecturer at the Modern Languages department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST Dr. Charles Ofosu Marfo has described ethnic/tribal sentiments been used in politics as actions emanating from self-interest and craziness to win political power.

In a facebook post on Tuesday just after former transport minister, Dzifa Ativor’s “tribal comments” went viral in the country, the astute lecturer indicated on his timeline that he wishes that the audience that are told such “Childish” and yet “divisive” rhetoric like the statement made by the former transport minister to be smart and discerning enough to know the right thing. He has described Dzifa Ativor as shameless.

“The madness of whipping up ETHNIC/ TRIBAL sentiments has also been rolled out all in the name of SELF-INTEREST and the craziness to win POLITICAL POWER. How I wish audience that are told CHILDISH and yet DIVISIVE rhetoric like the present one from this SHAMELESS lady are SMART and DISCERNING enough to know that ‘the lizard does not enjoy the aroma of chilly only for the frog to suffer the discomfort or burning of the tongue on the lizard’s behalf’. People, let’s THINK; let’s use the HEAD! ‪#‎sadTIMES‬‬!,” he stated.

Dzifa Attivor grabbed the headlines after she made a comment that Voltarians should not vote for the NPP otherwise Voltarians in the NDC will be jailed.

According to her, Victor Selormey and Dan Abodapki, two former NDC government officials who were jailed for causing financial loss to the state are examples of NPP’s deliberate attempts to prosecute Ewes. The former transport minister who resigned in the wake of the 3.6 million cedis bus rebranding saga, says she believes she and Fiifi Kwettey will be taken to prison if NPP is voted into power. She urged voltarians to vote for NDC to avoid such situations.

“I want to remind you that it is your vote that will decide if Fifi Kwetey and I will be prosecuted and put behind bars or not,” she stated.

This comment has raised speculations that (perhaps), she has admitted that she involved herself in corrupt practice in the bus rebranding saga that led to her resignation.

Dr. Charles Marfo in his latest facebook page has condemned the former transport minister’s statement.
