Delegation of The First lady of Equatorial Guinea visits Tanoso

EquatorialGuinea-delegationA delegation from the first lady of the Equatorial Guinea Mrs. Constancia Mangue Nsue de Obiang yesterday paid a visit to Voices of African Mothers (VAM) at Tanoso a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The occasion was honored by many dignitaries like the chief of Tanoso, the former Mayor of KMA and MP for Asokwa constituency, Hon. Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the assembly member for Tanoso Hon. Richard K Karkari.

The delegation was led by Mrs. Teresa Avoro at a welcoming ceremony held at the premises of John William Montessori School at Tanoso. The leader of the delegation  Mrs. Theresa Avoro explained that they have been sent by the First lady of to help strengthen the good relationship she has with Voices Of African Mothers and also the impending program to educate Equatorial Guinean children in Ghana.

She further said that it has been the dream of the First Lady to help Nana Fosu Randall and Voices African Mothers to be of assistance to the African child.

The founder of Voices of African Mothers (VAM) an NGO and John Wlliam Montessori School, Nana Fosu Randall also lauded the strong relationship between her Organization and the first Lady of Equatorial Guinea.

She said her ogarnitzation Voices of Arican Mothers (VAM) recognizses the partnership with the first lady and appreciates her contribution and support for the organization.

The former Mayor of KMA Hon. Maxwell Kofi Jumah speaking at the ceremony commended Nana Fosu Randall and her late husband Prof. L Randall for being able to establish such a wonderful school to help education in Ghana.

He further stated that, the real meaning of education is to prepare the youth for the future and that is exactly what Nana Fosu Randall is doing.

In practical terms, the youth must be taught not purposely for examination sake but rather trained to identify the opportunities and hitches in life. He added.

He therefore urged the government to make sure education in Ghana is made to train worthwhile youths.

At the event, the Director of John William Montessori School Mrs. Mercy Adu – Mensah postulated that, the school authority is very happy to have such an honorable visit from the first lady.  She further explained that the school over the years has seen much progression and also urged other private schools to work hard for the betterment of their students.
