First lady of Ghana; Rebecca Akufo-Addo
The Rebecca foundation has donated relief items to some needy persons in some parts of Kumasi as the COVID-19 lock down is extended.
The items included rice, sugar, Milo, Indomie noodles, powdered milk, biscuits and many others.
Director of the Foundation; Mrs. Perpetual Asante Amoah who presented the items to the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly stressed that the items form part of the first lady’s efforts to alleviate the plight of the needy during this period of lock down.
She also lauded the efforts of the KMA boss; Osei Assibey Antwi for putting in place measures to ensure the success of the lock down and consequently the safety of residents of Kumasi and neighbouring communities.
KMA boss; Osei Assibey Antwi commended the first lady for her good work especially those that affect the Ashanti region recalling her immense contributions to infrastructure at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
