Business Woman support 700 widows in Juaben ahead of Christmas

BUSINESS WOMAN SUPPORTS 700 WIDOWS IN JUABEN AHEAD OF CHRISTMAS.

Madam Dorcas Korankye popularly called “Afia Gold”, a business woman and native of Juaben has donated food items and wax prints to support seven hundred (700) widows within the ancient town, Juaben.

Drawn from all the communities within Juaben, the 700 widows were assembled at The Apostolic Church-Ghana in Juaben to receive their Christmas gifts.

Speaking to this reporter after the presentation ceremony, Madam Korankye noted her delight in giving to widows.

She noted that, ‘widows are special people who needed periodic support to ensure they are comforted for losing their loved ones’.

DESIRE:
“Afia Gold” said she goes home happy anytime she is able to support widows with food items and other needful stuff.

She disclosed that she started this annual ritual years ago by giving to two or three widows she could find around.

Expressing surprise, Madam Korankye said God has blessed such modest efforts of hers to enable her to give to 700 people this year.

“I thank the Almighty God for blessing my business since I started this modest donations and it is exciting to be able to give to 700 people this year when I could only do two or three people several years ago”, the business woman noted.

APPRECIATION:
Madam Patience Sarfo, 56 year old widow said she was grateful to God for bringing Madam Gold unto her path.

She disclosed that Christmas would have been raw for her but for the gesture by the Juaben native and business woman.

Angela Boateng, another widow from Ahinsan, a community in Juaben blessed the business woman for having widows in mind.

She noted that Madam Gold could have chosen to do something different with her hard won money but for her to decide to support widows with items such as rice, oil, mackerel, tin tomatoes and top it up with pieces of wax prints show she is a humanitarian.
