Bono East tour: 4 traditional councils disappointed in President for shunning them

Four Traditional councils within the Sene east and West districts have been expressing their disappointment in president Nana Akufo-Addo for failing to visit their traditional areas during his recent duty tour of Bono East region.

Paramount chief of Bassa Traditional council , Nana Owusu Sakyi III who addressed the media on behalf of the other paramouncies , said their traditional areas were parts of chiefs who petitioned President Akufo-Addo to create the Bono East region but wondered why he refused to visit the four traditional areas during his duty tour of the region.

The four paramouncies; Basa traditional council, Dwan Traditional council, Wiase traditional council and Nkomi all in Sene East and West districts of Bono east region say they are unhappy with the action of the presidency.

They sought to find out if their traditional areas are not part of the Bono East region and are insisting on answers from the Presidency.

The Bono East regional minister Hon. Kofi Amoakohene was not spared the anger of the chiefs as he was blamed for “not leading the president to their four traditional areas” as put by the Acting President for Nkomi traditional council Nana Akwasi Nokwarebour.

He therefore called on the Bono east regional minister to come out and explain to them why president failed to visit them.
