Best farmer encourages youth to take up agriculture

IMG-20150109-WA0004The 2014 Best Farmer for Techiman South District, Mr. Abanaaba Abori is asking Ghanaian youth to take up farming.

He says it is time the youth realize the importance of farming.

The 89-year old farmer with one wife and twenty nine children has been farming for 50 years and resides in Abanaaba village, a surburb of Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region.

He cultivates all kinds of crops and rears all kinds of animals.

Mr. Abanaaba also appealed to the government to renovate the road from Abanaaba village to Nsuta to facilitate the transportion of farm produce from the village to the Techiman Market. He tells rawgist.com the poor nature of the road is a disincentive to farming.
