A/R: NPP Warrior, others defect to NDC

With less than three (3) months to the 2020 general elections, some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have defected to the opposition National Democratic Congress.

In a press conference the leader of the group Ntim Joseph popularly known as Oluwa NPP said they defected because of what they say is the myriad of the failed promises of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the Ashanti Region and Ghana as a whole.

According to Ntim Joseph popularly known as Oluwa NPP “though I campaigned massively for NPP and President Akufo-Addo in 2016 but President Akufo-Addo has failed to deliver his promises”

He therefore listed the numerous developmental projects of the NDC, under the party’s flagbearer and former President, John Dramani Mahama, in the Ashanti Region.

“We have regretted for allowing ourselves to be decieved by President Akufo-Addo. President Akufo-Addo and NPP have taken Ashanti Region for granted” he said.

Oluwa NPP who has changed his name to Oluwa NDC revealed that over 2000 NPP supporters in the Ashanti Region will soon cross the carpet to NDC due to President Akufo-Addo incompetency.

He however charged Ghanaians to vote massively for former president John Dramani Mahama and NDC in the upcoming 2020 general elections to save Ghana from hardship.

The members were welcomed by NDC Ashanti Regional Executives led by regional Chairman Augustus Nana Akwasi.

The NDC Ashanti Regional Organizer Isham Alhassan charged the defected members to spread NDC good message to Ghanaians including their friends.

“Thank God you have seen the light now. You were decieved by President Akufo-Addo and NPP lies but it is not too late to change the bad change. Work hard and campaign massively for NDC and John Dramani Mahama to rescue Ghanaians from hardship” Isham Alhassan said
